We were so excited to finally have a birthday party with our children in our new home!  Kali's birthday turned out to be a great day!  The day was perfect!  The weather was perfect so we could have it outside for them to run around.  My whole family was there which is RARE all but some 2 nieces and 2 nephews.  But it was so much fun!  Kali was ecstatic that i made her "tangled cake" and i'm getting pretty good at it if i do say so myself haha!  She got every present she wanted (thank you grandma brenda!) and had a fun day with her cousins! It was a great get together Wish it had lasted longer but here are a few pics of the great event!

Watching my children grow is the light of my life and i love them so much!  We were blessed this Halloween to have such a great time even with mommies surgery the day before.

Well it's day 5 since the surgery and i'm not liking life! haha!  But it's gotten a little better since seeing the doctor this afternoon and him changing some meds around.  Everyone kept telling me a tonselectomy was no big deal YEAH RIGHT! the only one who had it right was the doctor!  Bryan has been his normal sweet self and taking great care of me. 
I would be uploading pictures but as i'm typing i'm handing out candy to lil ghouls and ghosts!  OH and a bumble bee like me :)  We had the whole weekend planned full of fun stuff but my surgery was harder then we thought it'd be.  So we have still had a great halloween!  We did a party on sunday with family and friends in utah county everyone was thrilled with the bread bowls we brought.  Mini bryan LOVED carrying around his little pumpkin.   I wore out way to soon so we ended up home. 
But today we decided even though i am sick we will make the most of it!  My boys are out and trick or treating i'm in my costume answering the door.  And i don't look 1/2 bad if i do say so myself! I will update more when i get the camera back.  
OH and thought i would say a congratulations to Cindy and her baby.  I know you'll read this.  I"m happy your experiencing the most wonderful part of life.  Motherhood.  It's a true blessing!

check up after a LONG month

I have so much to say but I've been fighting a flue bug on and off for a few days so just going to put up here what i need to say.  This is going to be a hard week.  I have an apt with the lawyer tomorrow. Thursday i have surgery that's scaring the crap out of me!  TTC isn't going well.  But i think once court dates are over we will work more on that.  Thank you all for your support during this time!  i couldn't have done this without you all!!!  The rest are some feelings i have.  They are mine and mine to share.  If you can't handle the truth of how i feel log off now.  In fact if you don't want me knowing your life STAY OFF MY BLOG.   Because you obviously don't care to be on mine.  I'm done with drama.  This has been one of the hardest months of my life and I'd like a little respect...

Background.
Bryan and i have been trying to reconnect with family and friends and let go of the past.  Bryan called his grandma about a 2 years ago then 9 months ago then again 6 months ago and one last time about a month and a 1/2 ago.  So we put that in the passed and not a week latter we got a call from his sister saying his grandma had passed away.  He was heartbroken.  I don't think I've ever seen him so lost.  He wanted to go down and be there but there was no funeral.  Also he's not been on the best of terms with his family so he stayed home.
A week after that I was at my sister's house we were trying to get a hold of her "husband" (he'd been my brother for years before they got together."  with no avail.  We were really worried when the police called.  We had a horrible feeling so we went outside.  The police came and asked us when the last time we had seen John Saul.  Then came the news..... He had killed himself the night before.  We were devastated and I'm not sure when that will stop.  Every day i think of him and the things he use to help me with.  He was a brother i never had.  Always bringing me my Mt dew and McDonald when i was sick.  EVEN when he was at work.  He adored my kids and was trying to help me find a way to get them all back in my home.  He missed them so much.  
This is what we've been going thru grief.  And some good times(for another post).  But I keep looking back and with the gift i've been given i know so many think that when you die you can start over in relationships.  That drives me crazy!!!!!  GOD SENT US ON THIS EARTH TO LEARN TO DO THE BEST WE CAN AND TO BE THE BEST WE CAN.  I hate that people think "oh it's ok if we dont' work it out now we can in the after life."  DO you think in the afterlife the feelings are forgotten?  The hurt and pain of feeling abandoned in THIS LIFE changes?   We have NOW to change our lives and build our relationships and families.  Because in the after life those who we loved and those who cared about us are those we will be with in the end.  Not those who waited to die.
I understand why Saul felt the way he did.   But he knows the consequences of those actions.  I pray he finds peace. 
thanks for listening to me rant my heart is just broken i thank god every day for bryan and the wonderful man he is.  He is my rock.

we are moved in!

Wow sorry i made a goal of posting more and then guess what we moved!  We now are in West Jordan, UT.  I love our new apartment!  Three bedroom and two bathrooms can i just tell you WOW 2 bathrooms that's soooooo nice!  The kitchen is small so we need to buy some storage today.   So our labor day is being spent unpacking ha ha.   We've been moving since Monday!  We got the truck Monday night had men come load it at 5pm from the ward.  Tuesday morning Bryan put or mattress on the back of the truck loaded our van and headed to west Jordan.  We had men there waiting from the ward so as i signed paperwork he helped unload (up 3 sets of stairs!)  We were so thankful to have the help!  When we were done we took the truck back and headed back down to Utah county.  We picked up another load of basics and headed home for the night.  THAT was interesting.  Seeing as we were only able 2 get one full bed that was the master bed up we had topher in HIS room in his playpen.  Mom in HER room on our bed frame and a blow up mattress bry and i in our room on just a mattress.  That was interesting!  The next day was our LAST day and we were already exhausted!  so we thought there was maybe one load left nope!  thank god i listened to my instinct and had my cousin Paul come to help.  They ended up needed to "borrow" my uncle's van and trailer full! And still stuff left!  They took that load and left around noon.  While Rachel (friend from ward and has been my savior lately!) worked on cleaning up and getting everything left out into the living room.  She had to leave and topher was at our neighbor Mary's. Thank you SO MUCH everyone who helped!  We couldn't have done it without you!!! SO i was trying to clean up and not puke.  OH did i mention that every single day we got heat stroke no matter how much watter i kept giving everyone??? Well once Paul and Bryan got here they made one load up and Paul was down for the count!  He was so sick with heat stroke!  SO i called in another friend Matthew (THANKS AGAIN!!) I've known since AZ.  And finally they got it all up and were back home by around 530??  Bryan hurried and we got everything out and vacuumed and said goodbye to Provo.  NOW during this time Lil topher was NOT happy on Tuesday he had to be IN the truck with daddy.  Two days we had him playing at Mary's that was great! on Saturday he woke up no voice.  so that night we took him to urgent care he has a double ear infection bad enough he has drops JUST for pain along with ib and Tylenol for the temp and pain.  He has strep and is on antibiotics.  (poor guy)  So Bryan went to church Sunday without us.  SADLY I was excited to thank all these wonderful people who helped us so much during this move!  We are now completely out of the storage unit and the apartment.  Also we are a block from trax so it takes Bryan 25min to get to work free!!!!!  Buying that mini van proved to be a great investment this move!  We couldn't have done it without!!  Now to find our new adventures out here in salt lake :)

Update

Wow it's been so long since I've sat down and updated this! Things have changed so much in my life and we are learning to just go with the flow. No way to change it so just go with it! Right after Christopher turned one my mom moved in. So we spent a few weeks going thru things putting them in the storage unit and moving her stuff in and putting the rest of her stuff in storage. I wondered how it would work and if things would be okay. Christopher was thrilled from the beginning he acted like "your FINALLY here!" lol go figure he's always a surprise. We were settling into Bryan's new job and mom moving in when i look over as my mom and i are baking cookies one Saturday and Bryan's on the computer looking up mini vans YES MY HUSBAND looking at mini vans. I about fainted! But i kept my mouth shut and a few hours latter he asks "so should we go test drive a car today?" I said "sure" nothing more. SO we drove over to the Honda dealership and test drove a the new Honda odyssey it drove like a dream! So we drive back home. Then on Monday he filled out paperwork and the long 3 weeks began! We decided on a 2008 ex model with only 50k miles on it. It hadn't arrived yet but we needed 2 buy it now or it would be gone. With everything going on in Japan it made for the Honda's being imposable to find right now. So crossing our fingers we bought the car. Then that Friday they gave us a "loaner" car until the new van came. The NEXT Friday i get a call and they'd sold the car i was driving but for my trouble they would be over with a better car until the van was ready. I fell in love with that car! A 2008 ford SUV drove like a dream but not what we needed for our family and the gas mileage sucked! I get a call the next Monday my van's there but not ready that it's "Honda certified" so they had to get it as close 2 new as possible so they'd ordered some new parts on it. We found out it wasn't a dark blue but a light sleight blue. (YAY) so we kept waiting.

That's when i started getting sick. So on Sunday we went into Urgent Care and an infection i'd been fighting for 4 months was back. They called in the only perscription left to try. The pharmacy wouldn't fill it. So on Monday i called my new Dr and he got me in within an 30 min (I love my Dr!) I get in and he told me with my fever's he was worried i would be septic within a day so he wanted to put me in the hospital then topher started babbling and he and i talked about how we had no one to watch topher during the day so i could NOT go in the hospital for 5-6 days. So he ordered a pic line and home health care. So on Tuesday Bryan worked from home to take me to the surgery of putting in the pic line so not fun! Home health care started but the fever didn't break. So we started another antibiotic I'm allergic to Penicillin and this was a different version of it so it came with 3 doses of epinephrine (that was not fun to find). So a full iv bag of antibiotics every 8 hours started.

Meanwhile on Wednesday i get a call that yes my car was done! YAY so after my dr's apt that day i went and picked up my mini van and it hit me wow i have MY OWN CAR!!!! For the first time in 2 years!!!! I almost pulled over scared i was going to wreck it! ha ha So I got home and stayed down a few hours then picked Bryan up. he started playing with all the gadgets i told him i loved it and asked what he thought and he said he liked it and it was all worth it for me loving it. PLUS we got it for less then it was worth! Plus a 100 thousand mile warranty and a bunch of other things. I'm still thrilled!

Back 2 health. It's been up and down all week. But thanks to the wonderful women in my ward I've had help with topher on days mom and Bryan work. Topher's been going on play dates! he seems to have had fun with that. But for the last two days i haven't' had a fever so they finally let me take the pic line out and I'm on oral antibiotics until i see the specialist in two weeks. Thank goodness for getting it out i have hives up and down my arm from the tape keeping it on! STILL 24 hours latter. Still sick and not feeling well because of the antibiotics but it's getting better :) Sorry during all this craziness my laptop died and haven't had the time 2 take it in so I'm using my mom's until can. So no new pics :( Sorry! I will post some soon!

As you can tell besides me being sick everything's great! Topher is almost a full walker but crawling is still faster ha ha. HE talks up a storm and his favorite thing this week is to ask "where dada go". lol He hates when he's at work. The move to salt lake has been put off. So Bryan rides the express bus to work I think he kinda enjoys it. Time to work in peace and take a break from the craziness of work and home.

As for the Kj's I wasn't able 2 make our last visit as I could not function well so we talked via skype for an hour they thought it was awesome. lol they were the "Kali and Kaleb show" HAHA love those kids!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOPHER!

Sorry I'm still recuperating after our eventful birthday! We ended up having 3 count it 3! Parties!!!! Wow. It started out with Kali and Kaleb. We went up to salt lake on friday and I had made one of my two monkey cakes.


The children had requested a certain "gift" for there brother. Kaleb wanted a "big truck" for him and kali a "book. So they got to give there brother a gift and open it for him. Then they had gift box from him to them. They loved it! OH and the cake was a hit! They LOVED it!!!! It was such a great day! Josh was really great and helped me bring up the box of stuff and the cake so i could carry in Christopher and the diaper bag. It was really nice to have help! Kaleb was busy putting his new firetruck together with the guy there and LOVED it. I felt so good during all of it. Here are the pics i was able to take while they were there!

So onto day 2! and the second monkey.

We had our first party with our friends and a few family members. They gave topher all sorts of fun toys he had a blast!


Then after they all left the family came over. We opened the presents from me and bryan and from grandma smith.

and he had his "smash cake" he LOVED IT! We just took the head of his Monkey cake and he was in heaven it was so cute!!! such a sweet boy!!!




He was so exhausted after words. It was so late and he hadn't had a nap! Poor boy all of us where so tired we all slept in the next day but it was so worth it! Having our friends and family around us as we celebrated this boys first birthday was one i'll never forget :)
